MLS: BMO (bank) acquires the naming rights to Los Angeles FC's stadium (2023-2033) for $100m

The Canadian bank BMO (Bank of Montreal) has become an official partner of Los Angeles FC (MLS) and acquired the naming rights to its 22,000-capacity stadium (located in Los Angeles, California, USA), which is now called the "BMO Stadium," announced both parties on 19/01/2023. The agreement covers 10 seasons (2023-2033) and is worth an estimated $100m (€92.1m), i.e. the highest amount paid annually ($10m) for the naming rights of a Major League Soccer stadium, according to the American media.

The naming rights for the stadium, which was inaugurated in April 2018 and also hosts the home games of Angel City Football Club (NWSL), were previously held by Banc of California. The 2022 MLS champions' stadium is the second in the North American league to be named BMO, after Toronto FC's BMO Field (Toronto, CAN).
