Manchester United FC: 850 executive seats at Old Trafford to be replaced by regular seating in 2024

850 executive seats in the Stretford End Stand at Old Trafford (74,879 capacity, Manchester, ENG) will be removed at the end of the 2023-24 season to accommodate more fans, announced Manchester United FC (Premier League) on 23/01/2023.

The decision, made in consultation with the club's Fans' Advisory Board, is part of Manchester United's "ongoing efforts to enhance the Old Trafford atmosphere." The Stretford End was a popular and famous stand until the late 1990s when it was given a number of VIP areas, which led to discontent among fans. "The decision adds to a series of fan-centric steps taken by the club following consultation with fan representatives, including the installation of rail seating and the creation of a dedicated atmosphere section in the Stretford End," added Manchester United.
