Celta de Vigo: launch of "100 years-100 tonnes" a food collection to celebrate the club's centenary

To celebrate its centenary, RC Celta (LaLiga Santander) has launched a food collection campaign entitled "100 years-100 tonnes" through its Foundation, announced the club on 23/01/2023.

This initiative, organised with and for the benefit of the Vigo Food Bank (Galicia, ESP), will begin on Sunday 29/01/2023 during the match versus Athletic Club Bilbao (kick-off at 18:30 CET), on Matchday 19 of the 2022-23 Spanish championship. The collection will last "several months" and aims to collect 100 tonnes of non-perishable foodstuffs.

"We are a very important part of the city and we want to collaborate with it and help it. This city has already participated and made many important goals possible on several occasions," said Carlos Mouriño, president of the club.
