FIFA: launch of a programme to develop member associations' digital skills

FIFA has launched "FIFA Digital Skills", a "knowledge-sharing initiative focused on developing the digital skills of professionals worldwide," announced the world body on 24/01/2023.

The initiative, which takes the form of an online platform, allows representatives of the 211 member associations to benefit from "tailor-made case studies and access to over 4000 courses offered in multiple languages from top-ranked universities around the world." These selected courses, some of which were developed by FIFA, are delivered via the Coursera platform. Meta, Google, Duke University (Durham, USA) and Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA) are among the training organisations.

"From best practice case studies from football stakeholders to analyses of the latest technological trends from the brands driving the digital revolution, FIFA Digital Skills aims to leverage the power of the digital world to maximise the strategic and operational effectiveness of those running the game globally," explained FIFA.
