DFL: 19^th edition of the Day of Remembrance in German Football, in tribute to victims of Nazism

The DFL and all Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga clubs will celebrate the 19^th "Day of Remembrance in German football" (called "Nie Wieder", "never again" in English) in honour of the victims of Nazism on Matchdays 18 and 19 in each of the two leagues (see programme below), announced the German professional football league on 24/01/2023. This annual initiative was first launched in 2004.

"'Show your attitude and take action' - is the motto under which the '!Never Again' initiative is commemorating the victims of National Socialism this year around 27/01/2023, the day on which the Auschwitz (POL) concentration camp was liberated. The common goal of all those involved in the "Day of Remembrance in German Football" is to contribute to a living culture of remembrance and to a respectful and discrimination-free coexistence. Actions are planned in stadiums, through physical events and digital initiatives and campaigns," explained the DFL.
