Formula 1: beIN Media Group acquires broadcasting rights in 10 Asian countries (2023-2025)

beIN Media Group has acquired the exclusive full broadcasting rights to Formula One in ten Asian countries for the 2023-2025 cycle (three seasons), announced the Qatari pay-TV group on 26/01/2023.

The ten countries covered by the agreement are Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Timor-Leste, the Philippines, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. "The agreement runs until the conclusion of the 2025 championship which will include rights to all Grand Prix's, sprint races, qualifying and practice sessions. Formula 1's coverage on beIN Sports channels will be available on major pay-TV platforms in the region, including on beIN's live streaming app, beIN Sports Connect," explained beIN Media Group.

The rights to broadcast Formula One in these territories were initially held by the pay-TV group Fox Sports Asia over the 2016-2022 cycle. These rights had been redistributed in October 2021 for the end of the 2021 season and the 2022 season to other local broadcasters following the announcement of the closure of Fox Sports Asia in April 2021.
