From Thursday 26/01/2023 until the end of the 2022-23 season, the Ligue de Football Professionnel and Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 club BKT clubs "have committed to promoting sustainable mobility through a national communication campaign," announced the LFP on 26/01/2023.

This campaign, which is part of the energy-saving plan for sport initiated by the French Ministry of Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, will be conducted on social networks and will aim to encourage fans to favour sustainable mobility (public transport, carpooling, active mobility) to get to the stadium. The messages and slogans ("We share more than football") proposed by the LFP can be reused by the clubs in a more personalised way, in order to address their supporters directly and to highlight transport solutions to get to their stadium.

"This approach tackles the major factor of greenhouse gas emissions represented by spectator travel. According to a study conducted by the LFP for the 2018-19 season, 87% of carbon emissions from travel to a football match are linked to spectator travel," said the League.
