Valencia CF: a €150m bid from former vice-president Miguel Zorio to buy the club

Miguel Zorio, vice-president of Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander) from July 2008 to March 2009, has made a €150m offer to buy the club from Singaporean businessman Peter Lim, the club's majority shareholder, as he announced on 27/01/2023.

Founder of the "Marea Valencianista" (Valencian Tide, in English) association, which aims to "defend the historical, economic, sporting and social legacy of Valencia CF," Miguel Zorio is a candidate for the takeover of the club: "Peter Lim has had the terms of the new offer since 01/01/2023. I stand by my firm offer to buy his shares (about 83%) and to complete the new stadium in accordance with the commitments made to the Valencia City Council, and if still possible, without resorting to the excessive CVC loan, which will cost the club more than €400m.
