FIGC: Daniele Ortolano elected vice-president of the Italian Football Federation

Daniele Ortolano, former president of the regional committee of the national amateur league of Abruzzo (ITA) and former representative of amateur football for the FIGC, has been elected (16 votes in favour, one blank) vice-president of the body, following its federal council meeting on 31/01/2023.

On this occasion, the FIGC also unanimously validated its 2023 budget, which forecasts an operating result of €488,505. "The 2023 budget highlights the Federation's proactive activity in increasing the value of production, despite Italy's failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar," said Gabriele Gravina, president of the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio.

Regarding the sanctions (see below) issued by the FIGC Court of Appeal against Juventus FC (Serie A TIM), Gravina stated: "Juventus has always been a model in the economic sphere, in the modernisation of facilities, in infrastructure, in the decisive launch of the women's football development project and on the subject of second teams.
