FC Barcelona: publication of a guide to the biodiversity within the club's premises

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) has published a guide to the animal species that use the Spotify Camp Nou (Barcelona, ESP) and the Palau Blaugrana (the club's multi-sports hall) as "their home, hunting ground or resting area," announced the club on 01/02/2023.

Available in Catalan and Spanish, the guide, which presents 34 species (31 birds, 2 reptiles and 1 mammal), was drawn up based on observations made during the biodiversity survey before the start of works at the Spotify Camp Nou (scheduled for June 2023). "The work scheduled already included prior studies and preventive measures in order to try to affect these species' lives as little as possible," explained the club.

"Our planet is currently experiencing climate change due to human activities, which directly impacts every species i.e. biodiversity. Only 17% and 8% of land and sea areas are protected respectively.
