Belgium: EDF Luminus partners with the Federation until 2016, Coca-Cola extends until 2018

EDF Luminus became a partner of the Belgian FA (Royal Belgian Football Association) through the Euro 2016 tournament in France, and Coca-Cola extended its agreement through the 2018 World Cup in Russia, announced the Belgian Federation on 04/11/2014.

"EDF Luminus will focus not only on the Red Devils, but also launch initiatives with the Federation for over 2200 clubs in our country. In every Red Devils match, EDF Luminus will offer a year of free energy at a football club via the website 'Devil of the match,'" said François De Keersmaecker, president of the Belgian FA. EDF Luminus (a subsidiary of the French EDF group) manages 20% of the electricity in Belgium and wants to develop its reputation further.

The partnership between Coca-Cola and the Federation began before the 1986 World Cup (in Mexicon, and in which Belgium finished fourth). The group gets advertising board visibility and can use the image of Belgian national team players for its marketing campaigns.
