Puma continues its partnership with the Federation of the Côte d'Ivoire until 2017-18

The German sports equipment supplier Puma has extended its partnership with the FIF (Ivorian Football Federation) until 2017-18, announced the two partners on 05/11/2014.

Puma has been linked to the Ivorian Federation since 2005. The brand is the kit and equipment provider of all national teams of the Ivory Coast. Puma relies on its brand ambassador, the Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure (Manchester City FC) to increase awareness of the partnership.

Puma: Turnover down 6.5% in first half of 2014

• German sports supplier Puma announced a 6.5% decrease in its turnover to €1.378bn in the first half of 2014, on 29/07/2014.
  • Puma's turnover in the first half of 2013 was €1.474bn.
• Puma's net earnings decreased by 41.3% to €39.8m in the first semester of 2014. Operating profits decreased by 35.4% to reach €71.2m for the same period.
  • The gross margin remained stable at 47.7%.
• The German brand supplied eight of the 32 national teams in the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from 12/06 to 13/07/2014)
