LFP: 58,346 visiting fans in Ligue 1 (+36%) & 22,341 in Ligue 2 (+92%) midway through 2022-23 season

58,346 travelling supporters have attended the visitor fan areas at Ligue 1 Uber Eats stadiums since the start of the 2022-23 season (19 matches), according to the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 07/02/2023. This attendance represents an average of 324 visitors per match, an increase of 36% compared to 2021-22 (42,815 visiting fans over the same period).

"Between them, the supporters of RC Lens, Olympique de Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain, AJ Auxerre and AS Monaco FC account for just over 50% of the cumulative attendance at Ligue 1 Uber Eats visitor areas," explained the LFP.

In total, 4.5 million spectators visited Ligue 1 stadiums during the first half of the season (+12% compared to the same period in 2021-22), a record for the top flight.

The growth in the number of visiting fans is also notable in the Ligue 2 BKT with a total of 22,341 spectators, an average of 128 per match. "Compared to mid-season last year, this cumulative attendance is almost doubled (+92%) and erases the previous record set in the 2019-20 season (16,649 visitors)."
