Chelsea FC: Three UK (telecoms) will no longer be main shirt sponsor beyond 2022-23 (press)

Chelsea FC (Premier League) will not renew its main shirt sponsorship agreement with the telephone operator Three UK (CK Hutchison Holdings group, HKG) at the end of the 2022-23 season, according to information from the British daily The Telegraph relayed on 08/02/2023.

The British operator had succeeded Japanese tyre brand Yokohama Tyres as main shirt sponsor for the 2015-2020 cycle. Three paid an annual fee of £40m (€45m) to the London club, making it the seventh most lucrative main shirt sponsorship deal in the European Top 5 and the third most lucrative in the Premier League, behind Liverpool FC's contract with Standard Chartered (€56.2m/season) and Manchester United FC's with TeamViewer (€54.2m/season). The latter will also not be renewed at the end of the 2022-23 season, according to the Mancunian club on 15/12/2022.
