Super League: A22 Sports presents a new project with 60 to 80 clubs in several divisions

The "preliminary results of a comprehensive dialogue with stakeholders across Europe on the future of club football" has been presented by A22 Sports Management, the Madrid (ESP) based company in charge of organising and promoting the European Super League project, on 09/02/2023.

Among the proposed ideas are:
• "A European football league that is open, based solely on sporting merit, multi-divisional
• with 60 to 80 clubs
• a minimum of 14 guaranteed European matches per club
• a minimum of €400m per year to non-participating clubs, social causes, and investment in grass roots."

"Since last October, A22 CEO Bernd Reichart has spoken to nearly 50 European clubs and stakeholders. The vast majority of them share the assessment that the very foundation of European football is under threat, and it is time for change," said the company which has presented ten principles for a new European Super League project.
