Sky Deutschland: turnover up 9.8% in Q1 2014-15 (€431.3m)

Sky Deutschland achieved a turnover of €431.3m in the first quarter of the 2014-15 financial year (from 01/07 to 30/09/2014), up 9.8% year on year (€393m during the same period in 2013-14), announced the German pay-TV group on 03/11/2014.

The company recorded an EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of fixed assets) of €54m, an increase of 86% (€29m in 2013-14) and a net profit of €12m, against a net loss of €14m on 30/09/2013. Sky Deutschland has 3,908,000 million direct subscribers, 96,000 more subscribers than in Q1 2013-14 (3,539,000). The net growth in the number of direct subscribers is 26% faster than in 2013-14 (+ 76,000 direct subscribers).

Sky Deutschland wants to surpass the four million direct subscribers by 30/06/2015

  • Sky Deutschland had 3,813,000 million direct subscribers 30/06/2014.
  • The group aims for 400,000 to 450,000 additional direct subscribers throughout the 2014-15 year. This would enable it to reach 4,213,000 to 4,263,000 direct subscribers by 30/06/2015, an increase from 10.5% to 11.8% over one year.
