Champions League final/Stade de France: independent review panel report published by UEFA

On 13/02/2023 UEFA published a report by an independent review panel, headed by Tiago Brandão Rodrigues (Member of the Portuguese Parliament and former Minister), which examined the events surrounding the 2022 Champions League final between Liverpool FC (Premier League) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) (0-1) at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, Paris, FRA) on 28/05/2022.

UEFA decided on 30/05/2022 to commission an independent report on the incidents, crowd control and other security issues that prevented 2,700 people with valid tickets from attending the match and forced the organisers to delay kick-off by 35 minutes.

The report "highlights a number of important lessons about how the organisation of the Final could have been improved. The Report also makes a set of valuable recommendations to ensure better fan experience and safety at future events," said UEFA.
