Champions League: €41m to €77m minimum for each club in the Round of 16 (excluding market pool)

The 16 clubs that qualify for the Champions League Round of 16 in 2022-23, which begins on Tuesday 14/02/2023, will each receive a minimum of €41m from UEFA. This amount does not include the €300.3m split between the 32 clubs in the group stage according to the size of the television market in each country ("market pool", see below), nor of course the matchday revenues generated by the matches.

While Club Brugge KV (Jupiler Pro League) will receive the €41m in the event of elimination versus SL Benfica (Liga Portugal Bwin), FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) is already guaranteed €77.28m thanks to its performance. The German club is ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, €73.75m) and Chelsea FC (Premier League, €69.2m) in terms of the amount of money they have accumulated since the competition began (see below).
