BasicNet (Kappa): a turnover of €386.1m in 2022 (+30% vs 2021) & €1.27bn in sales (+34%)

BasicNet, an Italian distributor and parent company of the equipment manufacturer Kappa, has posted sales of €386.1m for the financial year 2022 (from 01/01 to 31/12/2022), up 30% compared to 2021 (€296.4m), announced the group on 10/02/2023.

Direct sales by the group itself amounted to €312.7m (+29.4% vs 2021), or 81% of turnover, while royalties from licensed distributors (€72.3m; +32%) represented 18.7%. The group's EBITDA was €60.9m, up 37.7% on the previous year (€44.2m). The company's debt increased by €37.7m from €56m in 2021 to €93.7m in 2022.

Total sales generated by the group's licensees over the period amounted to €1.273bn, up 34.1% from 2021 (€949.4m), of which €902m came from commercial licensees (70.9%) and €371.1m from production licensees (29.1%).
