Groupe M6: a turnover of €1.357bn (-2.4%) & net profit of €166m (-40.9%) in 2022

The French private free-TV group M6 posted a turnover of €1.357bn in 2022, down 2.4% compared to 2021 and 6.8% compared to 2019, according to the results published by the group on 13/02/2023.

Operating profit was €312m (-20.1% vs 2021; +13.5% vs 2019) while net profit stood at €166m (-40.9% vs 2021; -3.5% vs 2019).

TV programming costs reached €495.4m, compared with €516.6m in 2021 (down €21.2m versus the previous year) and €501.3m in 2019. "Faced with the slowdown in the TV advertising market, the necessary reinvestment of the costs of the Euro in linear and non-linear content has been controlled," said the group headed by Nicolas de Tavernost.

The group's operating margin stands at 24.6% (excluding public aid), compared with 23.5% in 2021 and 19.5% in 2019.
