OL Groupe: revenues of €134.8m (+16%) & an EBITDA of -€23.7m for the first half of 2022-23

OL Groupe posted revenues of €134.8m for the first half of 2022-23 (01/07 to 31/12/2022), up 16% on the first six months of 2021-22 (€116.1m), announced the holding company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) on 15/02/2023. Excluding player trading, turnover was up 21% to €91m.

All of OL Groupe's revenue sources increased. Revenues from TV and marketing rights reached €37.3m (+23%) and included the first payment (€16.5m out of a total of €90m) linked to the creation of the LFP's commercial subsidiary and the acquisition of a 13% stake by the investment fund CVC Capital Partners.

Olympique Lyonnais also benefited from an increase in ticketing revenue (€15.8m, +12%) and "Events" revenue (€7.4m, +97%) due to the end of health constraints resulting from the Covid-19 crisis. Revenue from partnerships (€19m, +9%) and branded products (€11.1m, +22%) is also up.

The group, however, recorded a net loss of €60.2m, slightly more than double that of the previous year (-€27.1m). Gross operating profit (EBITDA) also fell sharply to -€23.7m, compared with €14.7m for the same period in…
