Serie A TIM: "A 2-year extension of the DAZN & Sky contracts - a very useful option" (Lega Serie A)

"The general assembly considers that the hypothesis of a maximum two-year extension of the domestic audiovisual contracts with DAZN and Sky Italia for Serie A TIM over the 2021-2024 cycle represents a very useful option," announced the Lega Serie A on 14/02/2023.

"This option, which is non-automatic and non-binding, corresponds to the effort that the League is making with all its associates to ensure the best and most efficient operation of the Serie A for the years to come," added the Italian professional league.

This statement comes as the Italian government (far right) has rejected the amendment to the Melandri law (2008) presented by Claudio Lotito, president of SS Lazio (Serie A TIM) and member of the political party Forza Italia (which is part of the ruling majority), according to the Italian media on 12/02/2023.
