Stade de France incidents (28/05/2022): 21 recommendations from the independent report

Better anticipation, better coordination, better information, better reception, better management, better control, better analysis, better debriefing, etc. These are the main lessons converted into 21 recommendations listed by the independent review panel into the events surrounding the Champions League final between Liverpool FC (Premier League) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) (0-1) at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, Paris, FRA) on 28/05/2022, in its report commissioned by UEFA on 30/05/2022 and published on 13/02/2023 (document available to download).

"To ensure transparency, by the 08/05/2023, UEFA should post on its website an action plan containing a summary of action taken with respect to each of the recommendations made in this report," states the document.

"UEFA is reviewing the recommendations of the panel in order to introduce appropriate changes and arrangements to ensure the highest level of safety for fans at future finals," assured the European body.
