• An offer of more than €4bn from a group of private Qatari funds has reportedly been made for the purchase of Manchester United FC (Premier League).
• Iranian businessman Jahm Najafi, who heads a consortium of Middle Eastern entrepreneurs, has reportedly made a €3.75bn bid to buy Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur FC.
