France: RATP (transport) plans to hire 6,600 people ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup & Paris 2024

RATP plans to hire 6,600 people in 2023 in order to "ensure the expected service on the networks and prepare for the major events to come, the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games," announced the French transport company on 20/02/2023.

These 6,600 positions are broken down as follows:
• 4,900 permanent jobs, 1,000 work-study contracts and 700 integration contracts;
• Among these recruitments, 2,700 bus drivers, including 2,400 in Paris (FRA) and the inner suburbs; 300 in the outer suburbs;
• 400 positions in maintenance and 120 in security;
• nearly 600 engineering and management positions.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is being held in France from 08/09 to 28/10/2023. 10 of the 48 matches will take place at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, FRA), including the two semi-finals (20 and 21/10/2023) and the final (28/10/2023).
