BT Sport/Eurosport UK joint venture: BT Sport to be renamed "TNT Sports" from July 2023

The BT Sport pay-TV package will be rebranded as TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland from July 2023, announced the media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery and the British telecommunications operator BT Group on 21/02/2023.

The move comes as part of the creation of a BT Sport/Eurosport UK joint venture in these territories, the deal for which was officially finalised on 01/09/2022.

"TNT Sports will present the live sports rights carried by BT Sport today, while Eurosport in the UK & Ireland will continue to be available in the same way as it is today before being rolled into the new brand at some time in the future," explained the two companies.

"This new sports brand in the UK & Ireland will be brought to life for the first time later this year shortly before the start of 2023-24 football season. Until then, fans will continue to enjoy BT Sport on all of the channels and platforms as they do today," added the groups.
