Germany: Czech investment group PPF acquires 9.1% of the audiovisual group ProsiebenSat.1

The Czech investment group PPF has acquired a 9.1% stake in the German broadcasting group ProsiebenSat.1 on 21/02/2023.

"PPF believes the digital transformation of ProSieben will create value for all shareholders. PPF is looking forward to liaising with the management and supervisory board of ProSieben in this digitalization process. PPF is an active investor in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. PPF's Central European Media Enterprises (CME) operates several television and online media companies in Central and Southeastern Europe," explained the group.

The PPF group thus becomes the second largest shareholder of ProsiebenSat.1 behind the private Italian free-TV group Mediaset, which holds 22.72% of the German group's capital as of 22/02/2023.
