Formula One Group: Qatar Airways succeeds Emirates as F1's official airline partner

Qatar Airways has become a global partner (first level) of Formula One Group as part of a "multi-year deal" from the 2023 season, announced the body at the Motorsport Festival in Doha (QAT) on 22/02/2023.

As part of the agreement, the airline will have the status of Formula 1's "official airline partner" and visibility on circuit signage as well as on the body's digital assets. Qatar Airways will also become the title sponsor of the Qatar (08/10/2023), Emilia Romagna (ITA, 21/05/2023) and Hungarian (23/07/2023) Grand Prix. The Qatari airline will also offer fans packages including return flights and tickets to all three races.

Qatar Airways succeeds the Emirati airline Emirates, which was committed to Formula One Group for the 2018-2022 cycle. The Qatari company will reportedly pay F1 an annual fee almost double the $25m (€23.6m) Emirates has paid each season during its five-year partnership, according to the specialised media on 18/01/2023.
