Warner Bros. Discovery: a turnover of $33.8bn in 2022, the year of the Warner-Discovery merger

The media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery, parent company of pay-TV group Eurosport, posted a turnover of $33.8bn in 2022 (€31.6bn as of 31/12/2022), according to results published on 23/02/2023.

Warner Bros. Discovery posted a net loss of $7.3bn (€6.8bn) and EBITDA of $7.7m (€7.2m) in 2022. The conglomerate had 96.1 million subscribers to its direct-to-consumer services (Discovery+, HBO and HBO Max) at the end of the year.

The 2022 financial results include Discovery's results from 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2022 and Warner Media's business results from 09/04/2022 to 31/12/2022 according to the conglomerate.

Warner Bros. Discovery was created following the merger of Warner Media's assets with those of Discovery on 11/04/2022. The conglomerate now "combines WarnerMedia's premium entertainment, sports and news assets with Discovery's leading non-fiction and international entertainment and sports businesses (including Eurosport and US NBA broadcaster TNT)."
