Bundesliga: FC Bayern Munich, 1^st sports club in the world to cross the 300,000 members milestone

FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) has passed the 300,000 members mark, "further cementing its status as the sports club with the biggest membership in the world," announced the 2021-22 German champions on 26/02/2023. The club is also celebrating its 123^rd anniversary on 27/02/2023.

Annual membership with the German club is priced at €60 (€30 for under 18s, over 64s and the disabled; €40 for 18-24s). All proceeds from memberships is donated to the Bayern Foundation "which primarily supports our youth work and our grassroots sports departments."

In the Bundesliga, Bayern are ahead of Borussia Dortmund (168,163 members) and FC Schalke 04 (164,000). Two other German clubs have over 100,000 members: 1. FC Köln (124,122) and Eintracht Frankfurt (120,000), as of 27/02/2023. The Munich club became the first German club to pass the 200,000 member mark, with 217,241 members counted at its annual general meeting in November 2013.
