Girona FC: City Football Group's training centre & academy project supported by LaLiga Impulso

Girona FC (LaLiga Santander), majority owned by City Football Group, has acquired a 23-hectare plot of land in the municipality of Vilablareix (Catalonia, ESP), which will become the headquarters of the City Football Academy Girona, which will not only house the Catalan club's academy but will also be the training centre for the men's and women's first teams, announced the club on 24/02/2023.

"The complex will have seven football pitches, three hybrid turf pitches and four last generation artificial grass pitches. One of the hybrid turf pitches will also have a stand to host spectators. The La Massana farmhouse built in the 16^th century, will become the institutional headquarters and offices for the club. The building has more than a 1,000 m2 where the different departments will work all year round," explained Girona FC. The work is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2023.
