FIFA Football Awards 2022: trophies for Lionel Messi & world champions Argentina

Lionel Messi (Argentina - Paris Saint-Germain) best player, Emiliano Martínez (Argentina - Aston Villa FC) best goalkeeper, Lionel Scaloni (Argentina national team) best coach and the "FIFA Fan Award" for the supporters of the Argentinian national team. Argentina, winners of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, triumphed at the "The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022" ceremony presented by FIFA at the Salle Pleyel in Paris (FRA) on 27/02/2023.

⚽️ Spanish midfielder Alexia Putellas (FC Barcelona), who won the award a year ago, was once again named as "The Best FIFA Women's Player".

⚽️ England goalkeeper Mary Earps, winner of the Women's Euro 2022 in England, was voted best goalkeeper.

⚽️ England coach Sarina Wiegman (NED) received "The Best FIFA Women's Football Coach" award after winning her second consecutive European title (with the Netherlands in 2017, then with the England national team in 2022).
