Rugby: Jacques Raynaud (FRA), appointed as EPCR chief executive from the end of the 2022-23 season

Jacques Raynaud has been named CEO of European Professional Club Rugby "following an extensive and rigorous global search process," announced the body on 28/02/2023.

The Frenchman, who will take up his post at the end of the 2022-23 season, will succeed Anthony Lepage, who has been interim CEO since October 2021. The latter will remain at EPCR as chief operating officer and "will work closely" with Jacques Raynaud "in order to ensure a smooth transition." Anthony Lepage was previously EPCR's chief financial officer (CFO) between July 2014 and September 2021.

"Frenchman Raynaud is a highly respected and experienced sports and media executive who has held executive vice-president roles within Sky Group for Sky Italia (2010-2018) and Sky Deutschland (2018-2021) and managing director for Sky Media as well vice-chairman of the Eurosport Group (2006-2010).
