Liverpool FC: a turnover of £594m (+22%) & a pre-tax profit of £7.5m in 2021-22

Liverpool FC (Premier League) have posted a turnover of £594m (€698m as of 31/05/2022) for the financial year 2022 (from 01/06/2021 to 31/05/2022) "the first full season post-pandemic", up £107m (22%) compared to the financial year 2021 (£487m/€566.1m as of 31/05/2021), announced the English club on 28/02/2023. LFC also posted a pre-tax profit of £7.5m (€8.81m) versus a pre-tax loss of £4.8m (€5.6m) in 2020-21.

"This reporting period covers a season when Liverpool played in every club game possible, 63 matches in total. The reported media revenue however did reduce by £5m (€5.87m) to £261m (€306.5m, from £266m/€309m in 2020-21) as a result of the Premier League extending the 2019-20 season with additional games played beyond the previous reporting period, as a result of the pandemic," explained the 2021-22 Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup winners.

Meanwhile, the club's administrative costs rose by £69m (€81m) to £545m (€640.1m, versus £496.9m in 2020-21) "due to the increase in salary costs and matchday overhead costs," said the club, adding that "in the past five years, annual…
