FFF/Noël Le Graët's resignation: "A courageous decision" (Philippe Diallo, interim president)

"The decision made today by Noël Le Graët is a courageous one and will allow us, at the Federation, to continue in a more exemplary manner," said Philippe Diallo at the end of the French Football Federation's executive committee meeting, outside the body's headquarters, on 28/02/2023.

Noël Le Graët, born on 25/12/1941 and president of the Fédération Française de Football since 18/06/2011, announced his resignation during the opening of the executive committee meeting earlier in the day. The first consequence of his departure is that Philippe Diallo (deputy vice-president) will continue to act as interim president until the next federal assembly scheduled for 10/06/2023 in Paris (as per article 21, paragraph 3 of the FFF statutes).

"We do not entirely reject the conclusions of the report (of the IGÉSR, which indicates in particular that Noël Le Graët "no longer has the necessary legitimacy to administer and represent French football") and it seems important to us to work on certain points.
