Earthquake in Turkey/beIN: €42m raised for the first evening of the "Shoulder to shoulder" campaign

On the occasion of the "Shoulder to Shoulder" donation campaign launch event held at the beIN Media Group's studios in Istanbul (TUR) on Wednesday 01/03/2023, 843 million Turkish Liras (€42m) were raised for the victims of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey and Syria on 06/02/2023, announced Turkish pay-TV group Digiturk, a subsidiary of beIN Media Group, on 02/03/2023. The provisional death toll in Turkey and Syria is over 50,000 (as of 02/03/2023).

The campaign, organised in collaboration with the Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), the Turkish Union of Clubs with "many others making dedicated appeals to support those affected", will run until 15/062023.

"The unique event was broadcast across all sports channels in Türkiye, including beIN Sports; as well as being provided on a free-to-air basis to many other supporting broadcasting partners.
