MLS: partnership with Sportec (data) & Deltatre (digital solutions) to "power the MLS Season Pass"

Major League Soccer has partnered with Deltatre, an Italian company specialised in digital solutions for sports broadcasters and event organisers, and Sportec Solutions, a joint venture created by Deltatre and the DFL specialised in TV production services, to "power Apple's 'MLS Season Pass', and fuel League growth on and off the field" as part of a "multi-year agreement," announced MLS on 02/03/2023.

"Sportec Solutions will provide and integrate advanced gathering, storage, analysis, distribution and analytics of live event and tracking match data which will be used by MLS and its clubs, creating an unprecedented dataset from every MLS, Leagues Cup and MLS Next Pro (North American third division) match," explained MLS.

"The Sportec Solutions and Deltatre partnership will enable MLS to provide new stats and visualizations like attacking zones, Expected Goals, player speed, match momentum, entries into the attacking third, passing efficiency, and shot efficiency over the course of the season.
