Formula 1: 1.3 million viewers for the Bahrain GP, the 1^st of the 2023 season, on Canal+ in France

The Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix, the opening race of the 2023 season, won by Dutchman Max Verstappen (Oracle Red Bull Racing), drew an average of 1.3 million viewers, with a peak of 1.45 million at the start of the race, on the French pay-TV channel Canal+ on Sunday 05/03/2022 (race start at 16:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie communicated by the pay and free-TV group.

This figure ranked Canal+ as "the second national channel (in France) at the time of the Grand Prix," said the group.

During the 2022 season, the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix, also the first race of the season, drew an average of 1.32 million viewers, with a peak audience of 1.64 million during the final lap on Canal+ on Sunday 20/03/2022 (16:00), according to Médiamétrie. Audience share: 12.9%.
