FFF/Women's football: "Restructuring of the leagues & creation of a D3 from 2023-24" (J-M. Aulas)

"From 01/07/2023, we will restructure the women's leagues. The D1 Arkema will retain the same 12-club format, with the possibility of expanding to 14 clubs in the future. The D2 Féminine will be transformed from two 12-team pools to a single division with only 12 clubs. A third professional division with two pools will also be created. Finally, an innovation often called for by men's football will be implemented at women's level: clubs' youth development centres will be able to enter the third division," said Jean-Michel Aulas, president of the Fédération Française de Football's women's high-level football committee, on 06/03/2023.
