Europa League: a minimum of €8.9m to €51.9m for each club in the Round of 16 (excluding market pool)

The 16 clubs that qualify for the 2022-23 Europa League Round of 16, which takes place on 09/03/2023 (first legs) and 16/03/2023 (second legs), will each receive a minimum of €8.9m from UEFA. This amount does not include the €139.5m to be divided among the 32 clubs in the group stage according to the size of the television market (market pool) in each country, nor of course the matchday revenues generated by the matches.

While 1. FC Union Berlin (Bundesliga) will receive €8.9m if they are eliminated by Union Saint-Gilloise (Jupiler Pro League), Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) are already guaranteed €51.9m thanks to their previous Champions League run. The Turin club is ahead of Sevilla FC (LaLiga Santander, €48m) and Shakhtar Donetsk (Premier-Liha, €42.1m) in terms of the prize money accumulated since the start of the European season (see below).
