2022-23 Europa League: head-to-head AS Roma - Real Sociedad (Round of 16, 1^st leg, 09/03/2023)

In terms of the revenue paid out by UEFA to the clubs participating in this edition of the Europa League, Real Sociedad can already count on €11.4m in guaranteed revenue (excluding market pool), compared with €10.7m for their rivals. The difference is mainly due to sporting performance bonuses (€4.2m for the Spanish club, compared with €2.6m for their Italian rivals).

The Serie A TIM club posted a turnover of €209.5m for the 2021-22 financial year, compared with €113.1m for Real Sociedad. The Spanish club, however, posted a net loss of €4m in the year to 30/06/2022, compared with €220m for their opponents.
