Hertha BSC: American firm 777 Partners (Genoa, Standard Liège, etc.) acquires 64.7% of the club

"The American firm 777 Partners have become a new shareholder of Hertha BSC (Bundesliga) after acquiring all shares in Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA (the club's commercial structure) that were previously owned by Peil Investment B.V., a subsidiary of Tennor Holding B.V. (64.7%)," announced the German club on 11/03/2023.

"The presidential board of Hertha BSC e.V. (association) which as the continued sole sharehold of Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA appoints its executive board, have agreed to this step, along with the supervisory board of Hertha BSC e.V. and the advisory board of Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA. 777 Partners will receive two seats on the supervisory board of Hertha BSC & Co. KGaA, which will now be made up of five members. 777 Partners will also acquire two seats on the advisory board," said the club, which did not disclose the amount of the operation.

"We are in talks with the DFL to make sure that this agreement is in line with the 50+1 rule," said Thomas Herrich, managing director of Hertha BSC, regarding the rule that restricts the leverage of outside investors in German clubs.
