2022-23 Champions League: head-to-head Inter Milan - FC Porto (Round of 16, 2^nd leg, 14/03/2023)

With nearly 24 million followers on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter, as of 14/03/2023), FC Inter Milan (Serie A TIM) have 2.6 times as many as FC Porto (Liga Portugal Bwin), who count 9.3 million, as the two clubs prepare to face each other in the second leg (1-0 victory for the Italians in the first leg) of their 2022-23 Champions League Round of 16 match at the Estádio do Dragão (Porto, POR) on Tuesday 14/03/2023 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

Regarding the payments made by UEFA to the clubs participating in this edition of the Champions League, Porto can already count on €59.1m in guaranteed revenue (excluding market pool), compared with €49.3m for Inter Milan. This difference is due to UEFA coefficient-based revenues (€22.7m for the Portuguese club versus €14.7m for their Italian rivals).

The Serie A TIM club recorded a turnover of €330.7m (excluding transfers) for the 2021-22 financial year, compared to €143.7m for FC Porto. On the other hand, the Portuguese club posted a net profit of €21m as of 30/06/2022, against a net loss of €140m for its opponent.
