Bundesliga: Bayern Munich announce record sales of 1.3 million shirts in 2013-14

"1.3 million shirts were sold during the 2013-14 season, which is more than all other Bundesliga clubs together. This is a new record for Bayern," said Andreas Jung, board member of the club, on 14/11/2014.

Andreas Jung has been in charge of marketing, sponsorship and international relations for FC Bayern Munich since 01/07/2013. This is the first season that the Bavarian club and its supplier adidas have sold over a million shirts. "Mario Götze has sold a lot of shirts, following the World Cup (he scored the only goal of the final against Argentina), as well as our new recruit, Xabi Alonso. We also sold as never before goalkeeper shirts, thanks to Manuel Neuer!" said Andreas Jung.
