RTL Group records stable turnover (€1.2bn) in Q3 2014, a decrease over 9 months (-1.6%)

The RTL Group, a Luxembourg media conglomerate, announced a turnover of €1.259bn for the third quarter of fiscal year 2014 (from 01/07 to 30/09/2014), unchanged from the third quarter of 2013 (€1.257bn), on 13/11/2014. Operating profit in Q3 2014 (€160m) also remained stable compared to 2013 (€161m).

In the first nine months of 2014, the RTL Group has a turnover of €3.946bn, down 1.6% compared to the same period in 2013 (€4.012bn) and an operating profit of €679m, down 4.8%. This decrease is mainly related to "the economic situation in France and for FremantleMedia (to) remain challenging," stated the group.

Net profit down 42.8% to €306m in the first nine months of 2014
