Rugby sevens: Madrid (Spain) to host the finals of the men's & women's World Series until 2026

The city of Madrid (Spain) will host the "Grand Final" of the HSBC Sevens World Series, World Rugby's global rugby sevens circuit, for both the men's and women's competitions from the 2023-24 season until 2025-26, announced the International Rugby Federation on 21/03/2023.

The 2023-24 final will be held in June 2024 at the Cívitas Metropolitano (67,703 capacity), home of Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander).

"With rugby on a major growth trend in Spain, Madrid's hosting comes with the full support of the city who want to make 'Madrid Es Rugby' and I am sure the combination of Madrid, an iconic stadium, a new Grand Final format and a soon to be revealed entertainment offering, will make this event a must-attend for sports and entertainment fans," said Bill Beaumont, chairman of World Rugby.
