RFEF: launch of a call for tenders to provide the VAR service over the 2023-2027 cycle

The Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol has launched a call for tenders to provide the VAR service for its competitions for the 2023-2027 cycle, announced the Spanish Federation on 23/03/2023. The deadline for submission of offers is set for 15:00 CET on 21/04/2023.

The service is currently provided by Hawk Eye until the end of the 2022-23 season. The British company had replaced Mediapro following the Spanish broadcasting group's unilateral termination of its contract with the RFEF upon the latter's initiative in 2019.

"Proposals must include bids for men's and women's professional competitions. In the case of Finetwork Liga F, the implementation of VAR will only be accepted if it is requested by a majority of the clubs involved," said the RFEF.
