Women's football: DAZN acquires international streaming rights to the NWSL for 2023

DAZN has acquired non-exclusive international streaming rights to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) for the 2023 season, announced the OTT platform on 23/03/2023. The agreement covers broadcasting in several "key markets" including Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, the UK, France, Belgium, Portugal, Scandinavia (Norway, Denmark, Sweden), Brazil and the Netherlands.

Tigo, a platform owned by Luxembourg-based telecoms operator Millicom, has acquired the non-exclusive international rights to broadcast the 2023 NWSL in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama, according to the North American league the same day.

This is "the first time the NWSL has launched its own global streaming offering for viewers outside of the United States. The service is powered by Endeavor Streaming's platform," added the body. The rights include all NWSL regular season matches, playoffs and the annual six-week UKG NWSL Challenge Cup, as well as the broadcast of match highlights.
