Women's World Cup 2027: launch of the bidding process for the hosting of the tournament

The bidding process for the Women's World Cup 2027 has been officially opened, announced FIFA on 23/03/2023.

The bidding process begins less than four months before the opening match of the Women's World Cup 2023 (New Zealand - Norway, at Eden Park in Auckland, on Thursday 20/07/2023).

National federations have until 21/04 to express their interest, which must then be confirmed with FIFA before 20/05/2023. The deadline for submitting bidding documents (see the regulations available to download) is 08/12/2023. "The host country or countries will be designated for the first time by the FIFA Congress, in this case at the meeting on 17/05/2024.

"The FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 will build on the legacy of the record-breaking edition that Australia and New Zealand are due to organise in a few months. In line with FIFA’s commitment to women’s football, this bidding process sets new standards and puts us on track to host an outstanding event in 2027 on and off the pitch," said Fatma Samoura, secretary general at FIFA.
