SSC Napoli: a turnover of €153.4m (-12%) & net loss of €51.9m in 2021-22

SSC Napoli (Serie A TIM) posted a turnover of €153.4m during the 2021-22 financial year (from 01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), down 12% on 2020-21 (€174.4m), according to the club's accounts published on its website at the end of March 2023.

Napoli's TV rights revenue fell from €123.7m in 2020-21 to €89.8m in 2021-22. This 27.4% drop is due in particular to the postponement of part of the 2019-20 season's revenue for Serie A clubs to the 2020-21 financial year because of the shift of the end of the sporting season to the following one due to Covid-19. On the other hand, the club benefited from the gradual reopening of the Italian stadiums to the public during the 2021-22 season and posted matchday revenues of €12.1m in 2022, compared with almost zero the previous year.

The clubs wage bill reached €125.4m in 2021-22, compared to €149.4m in 2020-21, a decrease of 16%. In addition, the club's net loss has decreased from €58.9m in 2021 to €51.9m in 2022.
